If you haven't heard yet..

i have received a grant to create a zine/chapbook with photographer and fellow agitator for change andrew macdonald

i have posted some poems (rough) on here..and people have been receptive to the idea. its different but still good!

i am also starting to record my first EP which will consists me doing poetry to music (quilombolas) and collaborating with some members of palabristas and other local artists.

McCarthyism on store windows
Profiling me from the airport
To frontera lake street
To the souls of my feet
Midwest nice resides in these words

No bums
Street people
Terrorist or loitering
Allowed

48 years ago
No dogs or Mexicans allowed
No rights
Nor freedom
No justice
Nor peace
Street people are my poets
Terrorists of words you are afraid to hear
Who loiter for inspiration
A mark that they wear proudly
Allowing only those who want to hear truths to listen
To corners, Payphones
Sidewalks, Alleys
Pennies and train tracks
To show us that everything is living
Even if it doesn’t breath
They still bleed with stories.
